Introducing the TM FT450FI

Starting at $11,845

Developed over the last four years, introduced to Europe in 2016 and now available in the US, the TM FT450FI is a dirt track  race ready single built in Italy by TM Racing.

This is not just a converted motocross bike, but a dedicated flat track platform. Wheelbase is 57 inches. KYB fork travel is a short 7 inches (180mm) and the TM shock and linkage give the rear wheel 10 ¼ inches (260mm) of travel. This gives the FT450FI 25° rake and 3 ⅞ inches (98mm) of trail, more in line with flat track needs. Mitas flat track tires are mounted on the 19 inch wheels.

Intake valves are a huge 36mm, with 31mm exhaust valves. Special cams were developed for the FT450FI. Primary drive ratio is specific to the flat track model. Compression is 13.2:1 from a lightweight forged two ring piston, but it will run on 95 octane fuel (10% ethanol OK). The downdraft throttle body is 47mm with the airbox above the engine and the fuel tank under the seat.

Riders who have tested the bike have praised both the power and handling on local short tracks.

TM Racing has been building competition motorcycles for over 40 years, with multiple world and European championships in Supermoto and Enduro in recent years.
